“I studied English, Psychology and Art at NA6 and I absolutely loved it!”
– Abby Mahon (2020 Alumni Student)
How do we help our students be the best version of themselves?
At Newark Academy Sixth Form, your dream is our dream and we will help you achieve your aspirations.
In August 2020, 100% of your students achieved the grades they needed to secure their desired Post 18 pathway. All students who wished to go to University secured their first choice of course.
Abby Mahon, Ali Miah and Amy Birch are some of our former students who are a part of our Alumni programme.
During their time at NA6 they were exceptional students and embraced all aspects of school life and upheld our GREAT values.
They are all still regular visitors to the school, keeping in touch with their teachers and supporting events and other students.
Here are some of their stories …
Abby left NA6 in August 2020 and is reading Psychology at Nottingham Trent University
“Hi, my name is Abby Mahon and I am currently studying Psychology at Nottingham Trent University. In the next few years of my course I would like to focus mainly on topics such as Mental Health and Child Developmental psychology. I will also be joining societies involving Art as that has always been a passion of mine! I studied English, Psychology and Art at NA6 and absolutely loved it!
Don’t take these two years for granted at NA6 as you can learn so much and meet so many amazing people; it is a great experience. When I started at NA6 I had no idea what I wanted to do after A Levels and thanks to the support of the teachers and the students around me I decided upon Psychology and got into my chosen university with an unconditional!”
Our former Head Student, Ali Miah, talks about his experiences at NA6 and how we helped him fulfill his aspirations. Ali is currently reading Sociology at the University of Leicester.
Amy Birch, a senior prefect at NA6, studied Chemistry, English and Biology at NA6 and she is currently studying Biosciences at Durham University. Here she gives you an insight into life at Durham and how she has continued to build upon her A Level subjects at University.
